Jamie - Fashion Designer

Jamie is a fashion designer, hair and makeup artist and, as I understand it, she does modeling from time to time as well. She is from the Grand Rapids area.

Talking about modeling, I used to think that it was very easy to be a model, but actually it is not. First of all, it is very intimidating to be in front of the camera. Of course, it is very easy when it is your camera and you are taking some selfies or when some of your close friends, or maybe some family members take some pictures of you. In this instances, yes, it is very easy and not intimidating at all. But when someone you don't know or a professional photographer takes pictures of you, it actually is.

I think one of the reasons is because we think we have to pose, we have to know how to pose and the photographer "just takes" pictures. That is not true, at least not when you are working with me. I help a lot during the photo session with posing. So if you trust me, it actually becomes non intimidating and you actually enjoy the shoot. And that is when magic starts to happen.

I guided Jamie throughout her photo session. And as you can see, we created amazing images. And this is just a very small portions of the images we created. In another blog post I will share more images from her shoot. So come back from time to time.
